choking childSadly 24% of all choking deaths in children in the UK happen to the 1-4 year old age group. Whereas adults and older children are more likely to choke on food, younger children are equally as likely to choke on small objects or toys.

Young children explore the world using all their senses, and this includes putting all kinds of things into their mouths. Therefore it is extremely important that parents and carers understand the signs that a baby or child is choking, and what to do about it.
