At Pinecones Day Nursery we offer your child healthy, varied and home cooked meals on a daily basis. This includes breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks in between. All of our meals are prepared and cooked on site by our chef Penny.
Penny works wonders in our fully equipped on site kitchen providing meals from scratch including homemade breads, soups, roast dinners and more. Our weekly food menu is displayed in each of our nurseries and is rotated on a three weekly basis offering a Summer and Winter menus.
We can cater for any preferences and dietary requirements that your child may have and are always on hand to help and support introducing new foods and textures.
Meals are served by the children during a social meal time, children set the table and clear away after themselves and are taught those all so important table manners. Our children use real ceramic plates and cutlery as they would at home or in a restaurant to provide them with those vital skills to take care of things and understand that items break and we have to handle precious things in a certain way. The practitioners are on hand to support throughout all meal times and ensure positive role modeling is taking place at all times.
We are proud to say that Pinecones have a 5 star food hygiene rating which is the highest achievable. We have yearly inspections to check we are complying with all food hygiene rules and regulations.
Consistency, compassion and communication are the values I appreciate from the team at Pebbles day nursery. Our son and daughter attend Pebbles 4 days a week whilst my partner and I work full time. I would urge parents to take advantage of all the settle in sessions, particularly as a dad. The staff show empathy and a genuine care and enjoyment every day which gives me confidence and I especially enjoy arriving and not pushing the bell, but rather watching my children, often playing outside, interacting with their peers and staff in a highly developmental environment in which the needs of the individual child are met whilst facilitating and mirroring the kind of behaviour, ethics and values which will carry us forward as a community. The team are led by a highly positive and forward moving individual. They work together to ensure the continuity of care and support for each child is provided and I would urge you to visit Pebbles to see for yourself.
